Resumen : El estudio se enfoca en evaluar la efectividad de la práctica tributaria actual en la reducción del consumo de botellas plásticas en el Cantón Quito, Provincia de Pichincha. Además, se busca identificar limitaciones y desafíos, relacionada con la gestión de impuestos. En la metodología, se empleó un enfoque de investigación mixto y se llevó a cabo un estudio de caso en el Cantón Quito. Se realizaron encuestas a consumidores, además del análisis de documentos. Se utilizaron técnicas estadísticas como el análisis descriptivo y correlacional. Los resultados evidenciaron que la mayoría de los consumidores considera que la práctica tributaria ha sido efectiva, aunque una parte significativa no comparte esta opinión. Se identificaron limitaciones y desafíos relacionados con el cumplimiento ciudadano, la falta de información y educación, la concientización ambiental y la resistencia de las empresas y comercios. Existe una correlación positiva entre la efectividad de la práctica tributaria y las limitaciones y desafíos identificados. Las conclusiones visualizaron que, aunque la práctica tributaria ha sido efectiva en la reducción del consumo de botellas plásticas, aún hay margen de mejora. Se identificaron limitaciones y desafíos que representan barreras para lograr una mayor efectividad. Este estudio contribuye al conocimiento sobre la eficacia de la práctica tributaria en la gestión de impuestos sobre botellas plásticas y propone recomendaciones y mejoras para fortalecerla
Descripción : The study focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of current tax practice in reducing the consumption of plastic bottles in the Quito Canton, Pichincha Province. In addition, it seeks to identify limitations and challenges related to tax management. In the methodology, a mixed research approach was used and a case study was carried out in the Quito Canton. Consumer surveys were carried out, in addition to document analysis. Statistical techniques such as descriptive and correlational analysis were used. The results showed that the majority of consumers consider that the tax practice has been effective, although a significant portion does not share this opinion. Limitations and challenges were identified related to citizen compliance, lack of information and education, environmental awareness, and resistance from companies and businesses. There is a positive correlation between the effectiveness of the tax practice and the identified limitations and challenges. The conclusions showed that, although the tax practice has been effective in reducing the consumption of plastic bottles, there is still room for improvement. Limitations and challenges were identified that represent barriers to achieving greater effectiveness. This study contributes to knowledge about the effectiveness of tax practice in the management of taxes on plastic bottles and proposes recommendations and improvements to strengthen it.
